PIPE VISCOUS STRENGTH WITH CRACK-LIKE DEFECTS*

Background

The work deals with investigation of various samples with vents by Moire techniques or experimental studies of the principle of the strength changing caused by variation of geometrical properties of samples characterized by different pipe damage type (a crack, a scratch, a cut, a corrosion damage etc.)

Methods

On the basis of experimental studies and literature analysis there are provided the estimation of the strength changing caused by variation of different pipe damage type.

Results

In virtue of plasticity theory and experimental studies there were estimated the viscous strength of the samples with various cracks and cuttings of different shape. The new principles are proved by Moire techniques on real samples.
