CORROSION PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT

IN COMPLICATED WELL IS IMPROVED

 

Background

Corrosion highly complicates the artificial oil lift. It was established that during the last 2 years the number of failures increased in 4…5 times.

In the underground equipment the most corrosion non-protected area is the submersible drive body, pumps and well tubing.

Aims and Objectives

To determine the most corrosion attackable area by current intensity, to solve the problem of electrocorrosion in DC conditions.

Methods

Theoretical and experimental studies.

Results

The problems of electrochemical and electrical corrosion are solved. A brush knot and a hydraulic anchor were developed. The experimental studies have shown the corrosion and failure decrease.
