IMPROVEMENT OF OIL-FIELD SLUDGE TRATMENT TECHNOLOGY

FOR CENTRIFUGING USING SUPER-HIGH FREQUENCY CURRENT

 

Background

Oil sludge accumulates during oil fields’ operation as a result of collection and treatment of oilstream, sewage water, technological pipelines and facilities leakage etc. Oil sludge treatment for hydrocarbons recovery is a complicated technological problem without full solving. The long storage of sludge causes its aging and complicated the hydrocarbons recovery.

Aims and Objectives

To increase the efficiency of liquid hydrocarbons extraction from the sludge by means of decanter.

Methods

To analyze different technologies of heavy oil, slop oil treatment and technologies of liquid hydrocarbons recovery from the sludge. According to this analysis there was offered the method of complex sludge treatment for optimization of centrifuging.

To simulate the hydrocarbon mix separation in decanter by means of laboratory centrifuge and to determine the optimal treatment technology accounting the viscosity characteristics.

Results

There was developed the scheme of technological node for complex treatment of high-viscous oil in order to extract the liquid hydrocarbons of commercial quality, moreover, there were determined the boundary values of viscosity.
